The 2020 Market selling garden related items: plant material, garden art, antiques, tools has been canceled.
DEAR 2020 Vendors
Dear Vendor,
The Marshall Area Garden Club’s 2020 “Welcome to my Garden Tour” and "Vintage Garden Market" - July 11th & 12th 2020 has been canceled.
This award winning Garden Tour has been a very special weekend event known for its quality and high standards for 30 years!
This will be the 23nd year that the Marshall Area Garden Club will have a vendor area, inviting a limited number of vendors. The Garden Tour brings over 1,500 visitors to our community, the majority of these people will visit the Garden Market. In addition to those attending the Garden Tour, the Garden Market also attracts people from the local community. Customers and Vendors have found this to be a fun and profitable weekend.
Important Info:
When: The Garden Market will be held during the "Welcome to My Garden" Tour, Saturday and Sunday, July 11th & 12th, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Garden Tour itself runs from 10 AM until 4 PM but the Market is open until 5 PM for those who were inspired by the gardens and want to do some shopping.
New Location! The Garden and Vintage Market will be located at the fountain circle by the bank in Marshall, Michigan. There is plenty of parking for both vendors and customers.
Booth and Sales Area: A single booth is 12’ x 12’. The fee for an area this size is only $60 for the two day show. There will be walk space between each booth area. For those who need double or triple spaces, they are available. Please stay within the boundaries of your spot. Those who have a bigger spot paid double or triple the fee. For the comfort and for the overall aesthetics of the area, we want all vendors to have a tent canopy to cover or partially cover your sales area. The entire 12’ x 12’ area (or larger if you take two or three spaces) does not need to be covered. There is little or no natural shade available. This is a grassy area and electricity is not available. We expect each vendor to use potted plants or flower arrangements some place in their display. There will be a water wagon if you need to water plants. As an added incentive to give your area the most attractive look, each vendor will be judged for creativity and overall appearance. The winner will receive free registration for one space in 2021.
Set Up: Vendors must be set up by 9:00 AM on Saturday. We advertise Garden Market hours to be 10 AM until 5 PM. People arrive early therefore you will need to have your display complete by 9 AM and your vehicles moved from the area. You are welcome to stay beyond 5:00 if you desire since there may be people still shopping. We have had requests to start set-up on Friday night, the fair grounds approved this last year and we will try to secure this privilege again this year.
Over Night Security: Your booth fee includes a security guard to patrol the grounds Saturday night of the tour. There will not be a guard in Friday night.
Two Day Show: Vendors are required to participate both days. We advertise the Garden Market for both days of the “Welcome to My Garden Tour”.
Our tour has grown attracting gardening advocates who are looking for merchandise. Because of the quality of the tour, we want to stress the absolute necessity that the vendor area be something we are proud of.
If you know of anyone else who may be interested in applying, please share this information with them. They can contact me by email or call me.
Final details and booth assignments will be sent out 2 weeks before the Market.
Sincerely,
Jamie Evans
